In the past few years, I find that I am repeatedly questioned regarding the reason behind my perpetual smile. My irrepressible joy seems to take people by surprise; especially those who are familiar with the heartbreak I have suffered. You see, in December 2003 my beloved twenty one year old son made the irreversible decision to take his own life. And when Stephen closed his eyes on this world; the light went out of mine. For two months following Stephen's death, I was tormented by one relentless question: "Where is my son?" and I didn't know the answer. Read More

Debbie Turner

From the outside looking in, everything appeared to be perfect; but then, the facade shattered. Debbie Turner never expected her life to take the sharp turn it did in December 2003. Her testimony is a compelling story of the deliverance and transformation that is available to all through the merciful power of God. With startling insight and unflinching candor, Debbie invites you to take her hand and journey with her along a path to personal intimacy with the Lord. In doing so, she explodes the myth of “Happily Ever After” which dominates contemporary society.

Satan wants us to believe if we accumulate worldly treasures and personal influence; our lives will be filled with endless joy and contentment. As a successful business owner and community leader, Debbie’s life was decorated with everything the world proclaimed she needed to be happy. Yet it wasn’t enough. Worldly treasures offered absolutely no shelter in the face of one of life’s most devastating storms; the tragic loss of a beloved child.

Debbie delivers a powerful message of hope and encouragement for all who are struggling with the insecurities and painful disappointments of life. The truth is clearly revealed: There is no trial so great that our Lord cannot carry us safely through!

“The most horrific experience I could ever imagine became the very key God used to enter my stubborn and prideful heart. In the shelter of His powerful arms, I have discovered unspeakable joy, peace, and a security that can never be shaken. Today, I am no longer placing my faith in the temporal things of the world. My greatest desire has become for all to know the unparalleled glory of personal intimacy with our Savior!”

I waited patiently for the Lord;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and the mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the Lord.
